Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, well known as “Afronita,” is a Ghanaian dancer, dance teacher, and brand influencer. With her great dancing skills, Afronita has established herself as one of the most distinguished female dancers in Ghana.
Afronita was formerly a member of the “Dance With Purpose Academy (DWP),” which she joined in 2018, when she was 14 years old, until formally separating in January 2024, to pursue her goal as an independent brand.

HER EARLY LIFE
Afronita was born on November 30, 2003, at Lakeside Clinic, in Accra, Ghana. She grew up in Kokomlemle until she moved to Airport Residential Area, at age 14, with her family. Afronita is the first of three children born to her parents, and her siblings are Nhyira and Elvis Yeboah.
Afronita is from the Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana and is a Fante tribe. Her parents have greatly influenced her life—her mother is an ex-teacher, and her father is a computer specialist.
HER EDUCATION
Afronita’s educational journey is just as impressive as her dance journey. She went to Ridge Church School in Accra, which is a mix of junior high school and high school. She went to Wesley Girls’ Senior High School to study a business program. She is currently at the University of Ghana, Legon, studying Business Administration.
HER CAREER
Afronita has always had a passion for dancing, but it wasn’t until she was in Junior High School (JHS 1) that she took it seriously. Dance videos on YouTube inspired her, and she practiced them in her room.
The most significant change in Afronita’s life was when she met Dancegod Lloyd (her role model) in her final year of junior high school, who introduced her to “DWP Academy.” Afronita started DWP Academy when she was 14, in 2018. She really worked on her skills and quickly became one of the top dancers in Ghana. She remained consistent with her work and was even recognized as one of the best female dancers in Ghana.
Over the years, Afronita has appeared in multiple magazines, like Sky Girls, Touch Beam, and Discovery Teens. Afronita’s skills have also won her roles in films such as Sugar, Leg Work (The Series), and Spice and Sauce 3. She has also appeared in videos with popular Ghanaian artists, like Dope Nation.
In January 2024, Afronita signed her resignation from the DWP Academy, as she was pursuing a career independently. She is now providing online dance classes for beginners and sharing her dance experience with the world.
