Camidoh was born on January 21, 1994, in Aflao Avueme, Ghana, Volta Region to a single mother, Christiana Dzifa Fudjoe, who worked as a Teacher at Ola Girls’ Senior High School, Ho. Camidoh is the eldest of 3 siblings and has two younger siblings. He lived in a single-parent household, and mostly lived in Ho till his mother moved to Accra to pursue higher educational exposure, and now Ho is where he learnt his work ethic and values to be a good person in life.

Camidoh’s formal educational experience speaks volumes to both his grit, and determination. Camidoh started his formal educational experience in St. Anthony Daycare continued to Nileem Preparatory for primary school, then completed junior high at Rijnbeek Catholic School. He then attended Bishop Herman College (BIHECO) for high school where he focused on General Arts. He desired to learn more, so he went to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) before completing his studies, majoring in Marketing.
Music Career: From Humble Beginnings to International Recognition
Camidoh’s interest in music began at the young age of 14 years, he liked the songs of Akon which he heard at an internet café. It is evident that his love for music grew and by 2008, he was already doing cover songs on popular songs that were trending at that time. He had faced some adversities, notably he did not make it past the auditions of the reality show MTN Hitmaker. However, he did not let that discourage him.
His major breakthrough would come along in 2018 with the release of For My Lover featuring Darkovibes, he quickly gained traction and noticed fame in Ghana’s music scene. Later in 2018, he signed with Grind Don’t Stop Records and embarked on his official career path.
Camidoh’s debut EP Contingency Plan (2020) whereby he demonstrated the various ranges of the musical genre with songs like Find Me, Hot Pursuit, and Maria. Nonetheless, a real taste of his international fame and recognition arrived when Sugarcane grabbed attention, with Camidoh on the track. Sugarcane had a remix featuring King Promise, Mayorkun, and Darkoo released, which quickly went viral. Within 2 months, the song currently stands at over 20 million views on YouTube and already peaked trending charts throughout the African continent.
