Early Life and Family Background
Cookie tee was born in Bawku, Upper East Region on February 25, 1991. She moved to Kadjebi, Oti Region with her mum and sister when she turned three (3). After a while in Kadjebi, her family then moved to to Hohoe, Volta Region. At that time, she lived with her grandma and continued going to school. A few years later, they moved to Accra, and she continued her education in Accra and spent the rest of her life in Accra as well. Unfortunately, she lost her mum a year later when she was about to start her registration at the University of Ghana, Legon at 19 years old. Cookie is 33 years and a native of Bawku, Upper East Region.

Cookie tee revealed that when she was younger, she wanted to become a newscaster. Cookie said that after she saw anchors on the TV screens, she tried to copy everything they said, but she developed her career as an actress before she started her media career with GhOne TV in 2018. Cookie has been in movies such as Hashtag, Shampaign & 3 Idiots, and A Wise Man. At GhOne TV, Cookie was the host of “Guess Who Is Coming For Dinner,” “Toast,” and the new “Tales from the “Powder Room.” A few months after she started hosting the two shows on TV, Bola Ray put her on “The Zone” on Starr FM, so she was doing radio along with TV. In 2020, Cookie joined TV3 Ghana, and she became the co-host of New Day, a morning show. Cookie is now the host of the New Day with Johnnie Beresford Hughes and Roland Walker. She is the host of Today’s Women on TV3, and also hosts shows like Kitchen Wars and Ghana Most Beautiful.
She has also hosted public events like the RTP Awards, Music Awards, and the 19th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards. She won the Best Female TV Personality Award at the 2019 edition of the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, the Experienced Womanity Awards for Media Excellence 2019, the TV Personality of the Year Award at the 4th National Communications Awards 2022, and the Outstanding Woman of the Year at the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards 2023.
Philanthropy
On February 25, 2024, which is Cookie tee’s birthday, she launched her foundation known as the Mabel’s Angels Memorial Foundation in memory of her late mother Mary, and made donations at the Maternity ward of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, Ghana. She covered transportation cost of some individuals at 37 Lorry Station and gave cash out to Hawkers at the Stations.
