Lasmid was born on March 3, 1996, in Takoradi, in the western region of Ghana. He had a challenging childhood; he had to be adaptive and resilient. Lasmid started living with his grandmother in Dunkwa-On-Offin after his parents’ divorce when he was just 6 years old.
He is the youngest of his parents’ three children. Lasmid was a student in Dunkwa-On-Offin primary and junior high education before he attended Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) for his senior high school education. He later dropped out of school due to his drive to pursue music.

From Grassroots to Major Stardom!
Lasmid began his music career in 2018 when he participated in Vodafone Icons. Even though he showed a lot of potential, he did not finish well due to votes.
He returned to Vodafone Icons stronger in 2019 in “MTN Hitmaker Season 8,” of national fame and renown. He got the nickname “Charger” with his amazing and impressive performances, and he emerged as the winner with a grand prize of a $120,000 recording deal with a black Anibisa headset from MTN Pulse.
